The small-batch Moorland Distillery was established in 2016, and as you may have already guessed, is based just on the edge of Bodmin Moor.

After sourcing a 150 litre copper pot still, similar to those used to create other forms of brandies, the founders began to experiment with different forms of apples and juices to be able to create the best apple brandy that they could.

Once they have fermented and distilled their apple juice and the 'hearts' of the spirit is taken, the spirit is transferred to oak barrels and left to mature for a selected time.
