Penryn Spirits launched Bora - the Cornish word for 'Dawn' - in August of 2020. The dry (meaning little sweetness) botanical rum is distilled with nettle and quince alongside a range of locally inspired botanicals. This is much the same way as gins are created, but with the opportunity to add spices and more complexity to the mix.
The rum is also carbon negative. Sustainability is in mind at Penryn spirits, and any carbon that is created is offset with a tree planting scheme in the producers home county in Cornwall.
