This was one of the first products released by Fowey Valley, coming onto the market in 2014 with the 2012 vintage. Vintage of course means that all of the fruit used to create the cider was picked in the same year, and this sparkling cider is created with the first fermentation for a year in wooden barrels, followed by a secondary fermentation for another year.
This is another product from Fowey Valley with a Gold from the Taste of the West awards, adding to a bountiful collection of awards that show they know how to create truly high quality products from apples picked in their own orchard in Cornwall.
Sparkling cider produced in this way is a fantastic alternative to the traditional sparkling wine, and one that often comes with a slightly cheaper price tag. This is one that must be tried.
