Named Caointeach, this limited edition was distilled at Bowmore on 10 April 1991, matured for 28 years in a single ex-bourbon hogshead (Cask #19605), and bottled at natural cask strength. Only 200 bottles were produced worldwide. This bottle is No. 137 of 200. Condition

About This Release
The Caointeach is inspired by the mythical spirit of Islay from Scottish folklore and forms the fifth chapter of Cask 88's celebrated Scottish Folklore Series. The whisky was selected from a single cask and matured entirely in an ex-bourbon hogshead, producing a classic, mature Bowmore with beautifully balanced peat smoke, tropical fruit and coastal character. The release received a Gold Award at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).
