To ensure total authenticity, safety, and full compliance with UK alcohol licensing, every order undergoes our dual-verification transit process.
Unlike standard high-street shops that hold mass warehouse stock, Southwest Spirits operates a specialist consignment model where bottles are retained by individual collectors until sold.
We know how fragile rare bottles and vintage ceramics can be. We use specialised, multi-chamber air-cushion transit sleeves and double-walled heavy-duty corrugated cartons designed specifically for transporting glass spirit bottles safely across the UK.
In full compliance with the UK Licensing Act 2003, all alcohol shipments must be signed for by an adult aged 18 or over. Couriers operate a strict "Challenge 25" policy. If the recipient appears under 25, valid photo ID (passport or photo driving licence) will be requested. Alcohol cannot be left in safe places or with minors.
To provide insured, tracked transit covering both journeys (Leg 1: Seller → Cornish Hub; Leg 2: Cornish Hub → Buyer), we charge a transparent flat shipping fee of £11.99 at checkout.
Sellers may also choose to cover this £11.99 fee from their final payout to offer "Free UK Delivery" to prospective buyers on the marketplace.
In accordance with Evri and courier carrier covenants for insured glass transit, parcels are strictly limited to one bottle per parcel. We do not permit multi-bottle lots or cases to be consigned in a single shipment; each bottle must be consigned and packaged individually.
Due to international customs, excise duty, and alcohol shipping restrictions, Southwest Spirits only ships within the United Kingdom. We do not offer international dispatch or eBay Global Shipping Program delivery.
